"No…No it is not." Jack said, staring at the gaping wound in the girl’s side. This was not going to end well. "We should probably get you to a hospital. Right now."

"You don’t have to do that sweetie." Jack poked her head out. "It’s fine, just leave me for a little while and I’ll heal myself."

"Okay if you’re sure, I’ll be in the other room if you need anything." Alex says and kisses Jack’s head softly before getting up to leave, hoping the other will be better soon.

Jack watched her go.
"Is this what it’s like to have a mother?" She whispered.

"I feel sick." Jack mumbled from under the blanket.

"Aww I’m sorry, I think I have some chicken noodle soup I can make you to help you feel better." Alex says gently and continues to gently rub Jack’s back and made sure the blanket completely covered her.

"You don’t have to do that sweetie." Jack poked her head out. "It’s fine, just leave me for a little while and I’ll heal myself."

Jack put her phone away and pulled her blanket over her head.

"You okay sweetie?" Alex asks and moves to sit gently on Jack’s cot, moving her hand to gently rub her friend’s back.

"I feel sick." Jack mumbled from under the blanket.

Jack went back to her bed, pulling out a phone and texting someone.

Alex followed Jack and went to her cot, making sure her stuff was packed away in case they needed to leave quickly.

Jack put her phone away and pulled her blanket over her head.

Jack nodded slowly.
"Thank you." She murmured. "That makes me feel better."

"You’re welcome." Alex says gently and puts their plates away.

Jack went back to her bed, pulling out a phone and texting someone.

"And who are you?" Petra asked, quite disturbed but fascinated by his looks.

"Jack…" Jack said slowly, looking the strange girl up and down. "Who are you?"

More fairies filled the sky with colors, pixie dust and sparkles that looked more beautiful then fireworks. Petras eyes were full of fascination and happiness, her face being light up by the light. And suddenly, everything around them started to glow, as fireflies started to fly and light up the sky.

Jack was startled slightly as some of the lights ascended off of his jacket and into the sky, but he got over it quickly.

She giggled as she saw him like this. “You have something in your hair…” Petra whispered as she took out of his hair a little firefly. She smiled at the little insect as it flew away. “Wow…” She exclaimed as she looked up at the sky and stared at it in awe.

"That’s a lot of fireflies." Jack said, grinning like a little kid. "Don’t think I’ve ever seen this many in my life. Course, I did grow up in a city, so fireflies were kinda few and far between in those parts."

"Good, good," Jaice said, continuing to drink.

"So, I take it that means you have a place around here, right?" Jack asked.

"Yes. I’m actually from here originally," Jaice answered.

"Oooh. A native. That’s nice. Explains how you would have gotten here quicker than me."

"Yeah. Grew up here, even if I spent the six of the last eight years in various parts of the world.

"A fellow traveler, eh?" Jack grinned. "Where you been in the world?"

Jack shook her head.
"No, right here’s fine. It’s everywhere else that’s not."

"Okay, then we’ll stay here for a bit." Alex says gently.

Jack nodded slowly.
"Thank you." She murmured. "That makes me feel better."

"Well alright then. I think I’ll take you up on that offer."

"Jack…" Jack said slowly, looking the strange girl up and down. "Who are you?"

"What’s starting? What’s going on?" Jack asked, suddenly feeling quite panicked at being lost in the chain of events.

"The fairies are doing a festival when the seasons are changing." Petra explained as the sky started to glow in bright colors of yellow and red. She smiled as the colors started to chance as the fairies started to play around with sounds, colors and using animals for spectacle.

Jack was completely silent as the festival began, his mouth slightly open as his eyes scanned everything.
